Who is this message too? I'm finally in my new house and have an impact wrench if you need one. I have the Unorthodox racing pulleys and can help you out now if you still need help?

hey man. cool. you're actually the guy i was looking for. my pm box had to get cleaned out on the other forum, and i couldn't remember who i was talking to about putting on an exhaust.

glad the move went smooth.

if you have some time tomorrow evening, i've got the ap pulleys to install.

Tonight(Monday) is bad for me as I have dinner with my dad every Monday night. I can be available any other time this week(in the evening). My garage is the last thing I have to put together, but I know where all the tools are. I'll check back tomorrow(Tues.) and see when you want to try and get together to do this. I assume the AP takes new belts as well? Do you have those?

After six is good. Shouldn't take too long. The impact wrench is a must for the alternator, the rest is pretty much cake! I'll PM you with my cell phone number(I don't take it to work, so you'll have to call after 5:15pm. You can PM me back for directions or the night you can make it down. BTW........you sure you don't mind driving down to the Melbourne area? Not like it's that far, but just saying.
Weekend is okay with me as well.

yeah, it went much better than it would have without the help. Very Happy

Mazsurfer is a great guy! In 100 degree weather, he battled through slightly corroded battery connectors, 3 inch cold air tubing, a throttle body as hot as hellfire and a leftover plastic covering from hell to reach at last my pulley system.

His impact drill was mighty as it slayed a tremendous bolt. 3 clicks is all it took, or was it two?

Really he did most of the hard stuff. Smaller arms is all I really brought to the table.

I couldn't be more grateful. He was injured in service to my car. he didn't charge me a cent. And to literally top is all off, he gave me a sweet blue rotor shaped oil cap just cuz he had a spare laying around.

I'd say big thumbs way up for mazsurfer! Rest assured Rx8 owners of brevard, this guy's got your back.

i'm however somewhat concerned about the flashing engine light that comes on at around 4500 for a bit. the ap can't read any codes from it.

But I'm not really that concerned. i could have sworn we did all the resets. I'll try running through them again in the morning to see what happens. Maybe i just need to reflash it again.

Probably not a big deal. Everything felt fine on the way home.

i think it's sorted now. i did the 20 brake pedal presses again and then reflashed the map. i think i did it the other way before.

seems to be fine. i didn't drive much, so it may come back, but i think i'm good.

p.s., i also got that oil cap on there straight. Wink

Cool..................yeah, Kane said he had to do his(map) about 3 times before the flashing CEL would go away. He saw my post from last night on the other forum and chimed in. Give an update after a day or two and let me know what it does........or doesn't do. You may have to do it a few more times, but I hope not!
Oh.......and sorry, I didn't even think to offer you something to drink as you left. I'm sure even a cool bottled water would have do you some good!
